Through humorous anecdotes and pop culture references, students learn that Opera is a big part of the world around them and discover just how relatable it can be.
OPERA-GO-ROUND, Tri-Cities Opera’s Touring Education Program, is celebrating 45 years bringing live musical performances to schools throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Annually, Opera-Go-Round performs for as many as 20,000 students. Our mission is simple; to bring great music to the newest generation of listeners!
“Songwriting Workshop 1 & 2” with Reyna Stagnaro on Saturday, October 12 and 26 from 1-3pm. Participants will learn how to write songs and learn how to present in front of an audience. Following the workshops, there will be a performance for participants to showcase their talents on Saturday, November 2 at 7pm. $15 per class or $25 for both.
“Americana Adventures Quilting” with EOH’s currently featured quilting solo artist, Ron Stefanak, on Saturday, September 21 from 1-3pm. Ron’s class is based on his book “Beyond the Block, Magical Transformation” and participants will work off of the required pattern for Americana Adventures which is available at the class. Cost is $45 with a $12 pattern fee.
“East Gallery Yoga” with Kirsten Weyter is offered each Friday from 10-11am in our coveted East Gallery with a setting that is perfect to relax and find the inner you. Bring a yoga mat, comfy clothing and water. Sign up for a monthly session for $45 or $40 for members (become a member!), or just drop in for $10 a session.
