Artist Bio: 

Katelyn Lee currently resides in Rome, NY.  She attended Nazareth University where she graduated with a degree in Studio Art: concentration in painting. Consistently painting for over 20 years, Katelyn has been an art teacher, private painting instructor, and is currently a freelance painter. 

Artist Statement: 

Painting is my first language. Words don't come naturally to me. A simple brushstroke says more of what I need to say than a thousand words ever could. Painting allows me to be loud without having to utter a word. Edward Hopper said it best, “if you could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint”. In this series I wanted to pay homage to Lewis Carroll, for being an eloquent poet and novelist and still choosing to write nonsense.
