saturday, March 23rd @ 7pm
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND and touting a newly released CD "Antique Pieces", it’s our hometown prodigy Matt Nakoa! As stated by Matt, "Long before I ever sang songs, I wrote piano music. Antique Dances is a special selection of original works that I dusted off and polished up during my COVID lockdown retreat. They have an old-world sound and are based on old-world dance forms. Sometimes, when modern life feels too fast and loud, it’s good to escape to distant times and places."
TOURED OVEr 40 COUNTRIES!!
“They’re a calypso/alt-country/blues/ gypsy band… which is obviously what the world needs most…”
– Times of London
Hazmat Modine
Saturday, April 27th @ 7pm
This dynamic eight-piece band has toured and performed original songs for 25+ years with genre-defying music that is quintessentially New York–vibrant international cultures meets American Roots.
Celebrate National Women’s History Month!
Lauren Mettler
Saturday, March 30th @ 1pm
FREE on the MAIN STAGE!
This March, in honor of Women’s Month, Lauren is performing a collection of songs written by women singer-songwriters who have inspired and influenced her own writing, as well as selections from her original repertoire. Lauren has chosen to share songs in this intimate set that display an array of themes, but are all gems of feminine tenderness, rich in their nuanced sensitivity and raw emotion. Listeners can clearly see and appreciate the gentle strength in the insightful words of the women songwriters and recognize that courage and vulnerability are two sides of the same coin.
Good Fun for the whole Family!
Syracuse Vocal Ensemble
“Kid’s Stuff”
Sunday, April 28th @ 3pm
Since 1973, the Syracuse Vocal Ensemble has served the musical arts in Syracuse, and its surrounding regions, with excellent choral programming and performances.
SVE’s artistry, range of repertoire, and quality of sound have been established by invitations to collaborate with The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Open Hand Theatre, Society for New Music, Skaneateles Festival, Syracuse Chorale, and the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.
Following a highly successful community mentoring program in the past, Syracuse Vocal Ensemble is now venturing into the planning of a multi-grade level education initiative.
SVE has a long history of excellence in a cappella music. In recent years, with the help of generous private donations, the ensemble has expanded its repertoire to include collaborations with instrumental chamber ensembles, and local soloists.
