Ecoarttech works with sustainable and digital technologies to make art about our relationships to media, the environment, and modern life. They will present some of their recent works and host a discussion about sustainability, environmental ethics, and what it means to interface natural, built, social, and digital environments.

GOLDEN ARTIST COLORS SERIES WORKSHOPS:
“Marbleizing Paper and Fabric.”

Saturday July 17th, 10am - 3pm

The beautiful sample shows some of the fabrics that are possible with these techniques!  The process of hand marbling paper was a closely guarded secret, and even today, marbling can be frustrating to learn.  Learn how to prepare your materials, balance colors, and create intricate patterns with these water based techniques using Golden Artist Colors materials (that avoid the use of dangerous solvents of old). 

This year the EOH Circus goes WEST! Cowboys, Indian princesses, painted ponies, and high noon at the OK Corral!

What kid can resist the call of the greatest show on earth? Join us for two weeks of fun and merriment, as Circus Theatrix teaches the fundamentals of putting on a circus. Every kid who dreams of being a star has a chance to shine in this wonderful workshop.

Introduction to Faux Finishing and Decorative Painting
August 14, 2010, 10am - 3pm

Learn techniques like sponging, ragging, brushing, stenciling and dragging and how they can be used on almost any painted surface.  Questions on how to apply these to the wall and any preparations needed for unique surfaces will be addressed.   

Teen Acting!

Tragedy…comedy…and everything in-between!  Teens learn character development, games, improvisation, scene study, script analysis, stage mechanics and physicalizing a character. Show off your new “acting chops” in a final performance. $75, $65 member

“Discovering Digital Mixed Media”
Sunday, August 29th, 10am - 3pm

Don’t confine printing your artwork or photographic images onto just commercially available papers and canvases!  Learn how to print on everything from acrylic paint skins to aluminum foil, and then how to adhere them to paintings or objects using acrylic mediums.  Embellishing with paint and texture over images will also be shown.
