A performance by Tom Rasely is a unique experience of instrumental music: a relaxing fingerstyle that blends elements of classical, bossa, folk, and pop. Along with original songs, fresh arrangements of familiar and traditional folk songs, classical favorites, and Christmas carols (in season), Tom engages his listeners with the unique audienceparticipation composition.; plus the rare audience drum solo. It’s beautiful, melodic music that “sends the listener into the acoustic comfort zone.”

Tom Rasely began playing the guitar in 1964, and has music degrees from Onondaga Community College, Syracuse (1971) and SUNY Fredonia (1973) As a teacher: Tom has taught thousands of players, in his private studio, at the NPM Guitar Schools all across the country, as Director of the Norwich Guitar School, and at the National Guitar Workshop. He has authored several guitar instruction books, and is an author with Mel Bay Publications. As a recording artist: Tom has played on over 70 recording projects, many as featured artist. A complete discography is available at Tom’s web site. As a performer: Tom has toured 26 states and parts of Canada, and has performed at the Syracuse Carrier Dome, Caffe Lena, The Eighth Step Coffeehouse, The Night Eagle, 6 on the Square, and in concert halls in Lake Charles, LA and South Bend, IN.
