The Earlville Opera House Holiday Gift Shop continues its’ 20-year tradition as a premier holiday shopping destination by showcasing the talents of over 70 local artists in 2017.
We invite you to participate in this festive seasonal experience as we strive to present the best-selling artists of the past with the new and exciting work of first-time participants. This opportunity has proven to be a lucrative experience for artists and a memorable holiday tradition for shoppers!
-Returning Holiday Shop Artists: Reserve your space by filling out the 2017 Holiday Shop Artist Agreement* and return it to the EOH office no later than Friday, October 27, 5pm.
-New Artists: Entries are selected by a jury process. Please e-mail a short description of your artwork with five (5) images representing the work you plan to sell, including a photo or description of your display, no later than Monday, October 23 to: [email protected]. You may also stop in!
-There is no entry fee, however, the EOH receives a 30% commission on sales of all artwork to benefit EOH Gallery programming. Please price your work accordingly and note that an 8% NYS sales tax will also be applied (absorbed by purchaser of artwork).
-To reduce the EOH commission to 25%, artists may volunteer to staff the Holiday Shop. Shifts up to four (4) hours are available and are strongly encouraged. Please see the 2017 Holiday Shop Artist Agreement* for more information.
-All forms of artistic media are encouraged, with a wide range of talents represented in: Pottery; photography; hand-woven articles; glass; metal; wood; quilts; candles; soaps; ornaments; jewelry; sculpture; paintings and much more.
-Artists will be notified the week of October 30 regarding the status of their participation which is reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis for returning artists, and on a juried basis for new artist applicants. Space is limited, so reserve and apply now!
-All participating artists are required to sign and submit a 2017 Holiday Shop Artist Agreement*. New artists will be provided with this form upon confirmation of entry acceptance.
-Artists are required to set up their own display with the space allotted to them and provide an inventory sheet for review with EOH staff. See below for dates.

Hours: Tuesdays- Fridays: 10am- 5pm, Saturdays: 10am-4pm, Sundays: 12-4pm, Closed Mondays
Artist Display Set-Up: November 7-10, 10am-5pm; Saturday, November 11, 12-3pm and November 14-17, 10am-5pm; Saturday, November 18, 12-3pm
Artist Pick-Up of Work and Check Out: December 19- 21, 10am-5pm
