Event Description: Friday May 17th the Local Music Project presents two fine Central New York acts. Starting the show at 7pm Melissa Sieling performs a set of Joni Mitchell’s most beloved songs and adds a few of her own. Come join in on Circle Game, Big Yellow Taxi, Help Me, and many more. Accompanied by her very James Taylor-ish partner Bill Sieling you will be transported back to the yesterdays of “Woodstock” and visit some new tunes from Melissa’s current studio work. In the second set beginning at 8 pm, Steve & Steve perform upbeat acoustic covers of fun, classic, and popular songs. Steve Grimm has been gigging as a bass player and vocalist for a long time, mostly in the legendary Rochester, NY bands Reporter and Private Drive. Steve Inzer has been a gigging drummer and percussionist since his college days, in both the Boston and Central New York music scene. He has now added the “cajon” to his stable of percussion instruments. The Local Music Project provides a venue where top local musicians can play a full concert for an attentive audience. All shows begin at 7 pm in the Broad Street Gallery in Hamilton, donations welcome. For more information call 824-1094.
