Event Description: On July 20th at 7pm, the Lonesome Sisters will be on the Hamilton Village Green! Singer/Songwriters Sarah Hawker and Debra Clifford are old time country of the Blue Ridge Mountains at its best! Old-time country duo, The Lonesome Sisters take old time country music, early gospel, and traditional-based originals and combine them with their hard-hitting Appalachian harmonies. Sing Out! Magazine writes: "The Lonesome Sisters are comprised of vocalist Sarah Hawker and Debra Clifford on vocals and guitar. If the name Hawker seems familiar, Sarah is the niece of master traditional vocalist Ginny Hawker. Sarah was also one of the recipients of the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriter's Award at Merlefest 2004…Debra Clifford and Sarah Hawker have produced two recordings of great tenderness and beauty. Anyone who is a fan of wonderful harmony singing and well-written songs will truly enjoy the work of The Lonesome Sisters." New this year – local restaurants and vendors will be bringing delicious desserts to add to your delight – Enjoy Dessert with the Stars! They’ll be overhead and onstage! Don't miss the rest of the series with Soaring Stories with Regi Carpenter, the Sonny and Perley Trio, Cornbred, and Pipeline!
