Saturdays, 3/17 & 3/31, 10 – 1 p.m.
An illustrated overview of the history of mosaics will be given for inspiration, and then students
will learn how to design and fabricate a mosaic piece of their own. We will discuss the use of materials such as ceramic tile, china, glass, rocks, and other found objects. Proper use of adhesives and grouts will also be covered. The techniques learned here can be used to make larger projects, such as tabletops and wall murals. $20 supply fee. Taught by L. Portnoff.
