Event Description: We have organized the "Art Expo" to involve the community in raising awareness in the community regarding the negative effects of tobacco advertising and marketing. There are four categories for submissions: Painting/Drawing, Photography, Poetry, and Other. Students in grades 7-12 and adults may submit. All submissions must depict the negative impacts of tobacco with a specific focus on tobacco advertising/marketing. We will be working with school principals and faculty to engage students to submit artwork for this event. We encourage local artists, community organizations, and local lawmakers in the planning and in the judging of artwork. At The Event: Change, a film created about POS by Madison-Oneida-Herkimer COunty Reality Check will be shown, prizes will be given to the winner of each category and one larger prize will be given to the overall winner, voted on by the community. Additionally, Reality Check youth will perform original skits and poetry. AFTER THE EVENT: Art work will be displayed within the community at schools, county and village offices, legislator offices, libraries, and other community organizations
